VISION

To be a center of excellence that has an impact on Christian principles while also providing students with a safe, orderly, loving, and supportive atmosphere in which they can thrive academically.

MISSION

Our mission is to cultivate a positive learning experience in our students by empowering them with the knowledge, skills, capabilities, desire, and confidence with which to embrace the future and support socio-economic and national development. This will allow us to provide relevant secondary education for boys and girls in the Ga South Municipality and its environs, which will allow them to enter tertiary institutions and will also enable us to develop a positive learning experience.

History

The late Reverend Gordon Nii Akwei Quaye, of blessed memory, was responsible for the establishment of the school in September 1960. The school initially received support from the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in the United States. In the beginning, classes were held in rented space at Asylum Down, which is situated in close proximity to Kwame Nkrumah Circle. It was a private institution when it was first established, but in September 1965, it was integrated into the public school system. In September 2009, the educational institution relocated to its current location in Weija. The institution welcomes both male and female students equally. According to a ranking published by Yen News in 2021, the institution was one of the best senior high schools in the Greater Accra area.

In 2015, squatters took over 110 acres of land that belonged to the school after illegally entering the property. As of the year 2018, the school could only make use of five acres of the 110 acres that had been designated for its usage.During the elections that took place in Ghana in 2020, a voting station that was located in the school was the scene of commotion between supporters of the two competing political parties, the NPP and NDC. The conflict was sparked by an alleged attempt to manipulate voters by providing food.
