VISION:

To improve the public’s perception of Ashaiman Senior High School such that it holds a place of prominence comparable to that of other advanced institutions in the area.

MISSION:

Students participating in the Vocational and General Arts programs at Ashaiman Senior High School will receive superior instruction and training at an institution that is recognised as a leader in the second cycle of education.

 

In the Ghanaian city of Ashaiman, in the Greater Accra Region, there is a secondary school for both males and females that is known as Ashaiman Senior High School.

When it first opened its doors in September 1990, Ashaiman Senior High School had a total enrollment of thirty (30) pupils, two instructors, and no non-teaching personnel. Between the Ashaiman roundabout and Mandela park is where you’ll find the Ashaiman Senior High School. This neighborhood is in the Middle East region of Greater Accra.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

  1. Scored 100% pass in WASSCE in 1996 topping all second cycle institutions in the Tema Metropolis.
  2. Third in the Mathematics Quiz organized by the Mathematics Teachers Association of the University of Ghana on 23rd February 2006.
  3. Second in “What Do You Know” competition aired on GTV on 29th January 2006.
  4. First position in Greater Accra Second Cycle Schools Cross–Country Competition, Boys and Girls division in 2003.
  5. Successfully defended the above Cross Country trophies the following Year for keeps.
  6.  Second in Greater Accra Second Cycle Schools volleyball Competition, Girls Division in 2001
  7. First position in the Korean Residents Association President’s Soccer
  8. Tournament. (Boys and Girls Division) organized for Second Cycle Institution in Tema Metropolis in 2007
  9. Placed second and third in Girls and Boys Divisions respectively in the 2008 edition in the Korean Residents Association President’s Soccer Tournament.
  10. Have contributed athletes yearly to the Greater Accra Regional Sports Team.

 

FACILITIES

  • Undersized and ill–equipped laboratories for practical.
  • No Workshop / Practical room for the Visual Arts Department.
  • The school Library not large enough for the school’s population and lacks modern Textbooks.

  • Undersized playing field.
  • A volleyball court is not standard.
