Odorgonno Senior High School (Great OSSA) is a senior high school in Ghana. Latin for “Ours is to Strive,” which is also the name of its slogan. As of 2017, it had 2,671 students and 183 workers, 53 of whom were not teachers.
History
The boys’ day school was founded in 1940 by Joseph Thomas Leigh and three other teachers from Accra High School. It is on the bank of the Odaw River in Adabraka, which is in the Greater Accra Region. It became part of the government system and moved to Awoshie in 1990, where it still is. It became a co-ed school in 1993, added boarding in 2007, and was named a model school on November 25, 2008.
