Ghanata Senior High, formerly called the Gold Coast People College, was founded as a national co-education institution on 3rd February 1936 at Adidome in the Volta Region by Rev. Isaac Doe Osabutey. The school was later moved from Adidome
Ghanata Senior High is currently located at Dodowa in the GREATER ACCRA Region within the Shai Osudoku district.
